FCC License Coordination
The Federal Communications Committee (FCC) holds a licensee responsible for securing and maintaining their authorizations. Not only does the FCC require system users to file an application for authorization to operate their systems, it also requires the system operator to report the date in which the system is placed in operation. In order to participate in these licensing activities, each user must also file and receive a Federal Registration Number (FRN).
All notices must be filed electronically through the system operator’s FRN account. The FCC will cancel any license for which it does not receive timely notification that the system has been constructed within one of the license being issued.
Most licensees do not have the expertise to accomplish these tasks in house. We provide the following services and assistance:
Preparation and filing of license applications
Filing of construction notices
Response to any FCC notices received by the licensees (if the
licensee notifies us and provides copies)
INFORMATION NEEDED TO OBTAIN YOUR LICENSE
Billing and physical addresses
Federal taxpayer identification number
Number of radios that will operate on system & power output
